Trip-L-Grip Framing Anchor type BL is an universal anchor that can be used for stronger nailed joints and economical secondary connections in timber framing. Framing Anchors are an effective, versatile and economical method of providing strong, mechanical joints. Suitable for timber of minimum 44 x 44 section. Made from galvanised steel EN 10346 DX51D Z275.
Features
- The bent section is 41mm square.
- Each anchor has a large hole to permit the fixing of covering surface materials.
Application
Framing Anchors can be used for connecting:
- Rafters to Plates,
- Trusses to Plates,
- Purlins to Trusses,
- Joist Trimming,
- Bracing to Studding,
- Suspended ceiling grounds,
- Purlins and joists to laminated beams and trusses.
Installation
- All holes should be nailed using 30 x 3.75 square twist nails or equivalent.
- For stainless steel products use 30 x 3.75 stainless steel annular ring shank nails.
- Always ensure that compatible corrosion resistant fixings are used, i.e. do not use galvanised fixings with stainless steel products or vice versa.
